McKayla Anderson Finishes Third At Nebraska Amateur Championship

OMAHA, Ne.—McNeese’s McKayla Anderson placed third at the Nebraska Women’s Amateur Golf Association State Championship that conclude Wednesday at the Tiburon Golf Club. Anderson, a native of Fremont, Nebraska will enter her sophomore season at McNeese this Fall.
Anderson shot a 72 in the qualifying round before defeating Melyssa Doerr (Lavista) 5 and 4 in the round of 16.Anderson then faced Amanda Christianson of Omaha in the quarterfinal round and won that match 4 and 3 to advance to the semifinal match where Anderson fell 2 and 1 to Katelyn Wright (Incline Village).
Mary Narzisi of Omaha and a former University of Minnesota golfer won the title one up over Wright.
