Chicago businessman Matthew Hulsizer has reportedly withdrawn from talks with the city of Glendale to buy the Phoenix Coyotes.
The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the matter, said Monday night that Hulsizer has withdrawn for good from talks with the city of Glendale over a new lease.
Hulsizer’s decision leaves no publicly identified potential buyer for the franchise, which was purchased by the NHL out of bankruptcy in the fall of 2009.
However, NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said there are others in line to try to buy the team.
“There are ongoing negotiations,” Daly said in an e-mail to The Associated Press.

Rafael Nadal will be fit to play his quarter-final at Wimbledon after an MRI scan revealed he had done no serious damage to his left foot.
Nadal said on his Facebook page: “Good morning everybody. Yesterday after the match I went to take an MRI at a London hospital. During the match I thought I had something serious but as the match went through the pain got better and thankfully the tests don’t show an injury. Today I will practice at 4.30pm and I’ll play tomorrow. Thanks all for the support.”
The world No1 was previously “very worried” after he was forced to have treatment on his foot at the end of the first set of his fourth-round match with Juan MartÃn del Potro on Monday.

Defending champion Rafael Nadal looks set to play his Wimbledon quarter-final after an MRI scan revealed that his left foot injury was not as serious as first feared, Sky Sports News reported Tuesday.

Andy Murray will lead Great Britain in their Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group II match against Luxembourg next month.
The British number one will team up with brother Jamie, his doubles partner Colin Fleming and James Ward for the tie that takes place at Glasgow’s Braehead Arena from July 8-10.
With the team containing three Scots captain Leon Smith is hoping for a great reception from the fans, particularly with Murray leading the way.
“We’re obviously very excited to have Andy in the team for the tie,” said Smith.
